Giving Back Locally...

More than 175 volunteers flooded the streets of the Southside Neighborhood in High Point during the last week of April for Operation Inasmuch. Operation Inasmuch is a partnership between Community Housing Solutions, Housing Consultants Group and the City of High Point. This one-day event occurs twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall, and is focused on home repairs and neighborhood revitalization in the core city of High Point. 

Here are the highlights from this Spring's Operation Inasmuch in the Southside Neighborhood:

• 10 homes were repaired impacting the 20 individuals living in these homes
• 176 volunteers served 1,056 hours
• $100,000 was invested in home repairs in the Southside Neighborhood. These repairs included:
• construction of 2 access ramps
• installation of railings for safety at 5 homes
• a fresh coat (or two) of exterior paint to 2 homes, a few sheds, and a deck
• many yards were mulched, bushes pruned, and flowers delivered
• And so much more!
